Galleria Monteoliveto

Galleria Monteoliveto distinguishes at the beginning of the autumn season with the exhibition of two established artists coming from France and Denmark, confirming its strong international vocation. This is Denise Grisi, with original graffiti, and SØs Beck, author of disquieting sculptures. The theme of Denise Grisi’s graffitis is the vision of the everyday urban perspective in the "distorted" view of any order: "parts of the wall of the XXI century”, overwhelmed images that show the loss of the absolute ant the advent, of illusory, funny, joyful characters and futuristic aliens, captives words of today’s life, through painted dripping showing emotions and releasing energies. SØs Beck's sculptures appear at first sight as projections of the unconscious, the result of the rebellion of an Artist who tries to remove, with the dialectic of form, the existential disease. Her polymorphic works seem to keep "findings" of a primitive world, where the explosion of language is captured and unsettled by a constant desire to control its outcomes, a difficult test that proves the full maturity of an Artist who offers herself to modernity through an original elaboration of the noblest traditions of sculpture.
