Eunika Rogers
HAS WORKED WITH MG FROM 201 TO 201..
Born in a small village near Trnava in Slovakia as a 12 year old, Eunika and her family fled the country and moved to Canada. After graduating from high school, she received a tennis scholarship at Delta State University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Ceramics. She chose to specialize in ceramics and went on to get her Master of Fine Arts degree in University of Memphis. Today she teaches Graphic Design at University of Mississippi but at home, in her studio she paints with clay that she digs up from her travels and her trail runs. She has a collection of umber, sienna and ochre pigmented clays that provide staining pigment for her paintings. Through her art she tries to capture 'passage of time' and how it imprints on our lives.
